The Cachivache Quintet is currently one of the most popular tango groups and is widely recognized on the world music circuit. Sometimes called 'Tango Punk' ', the group is characterized by its undeniably creative, original, and very “danceable '' style.
In 2008, two Argentinian musicians living in Spain, Vito Venturino (guitar) and Pablo Montanelli (Piano) reconnect with their Porteño roots and form the group Cachivache. They quickly attract attention in Europe and Asia for their very distinctively modern style. Once resettled in Buenos Aires, they begin to compose original pieces while also at the same time continuing to thrill dancers and fans of classic tango arrangements with an undeniably contemporary sound.
Greatly implicated in the Buenos Aires tango dance community, they hold their own milonga once a week where the orchestra plays often and the musicians Dj. They are also much appreciated for their musicality seminars.
